Nyssa started doing hair as soon as her parents let her wield a pair of scissors. As a teenager in the 1980’s she was the designated hairstylist to both her trusting sisters and anyone else who wanted wild, rocker styles.

After graduating in 1989 from Kristopher’s School of Beauty (in Santa Barbara, Ca.) she worked her way through art school doing hair.

Nyssa has been splitting her time working as an artist and a stylist ever since. Her technique in both show a love of detail and color. She specializes in listening carefully to what makes people happy.

Eunice has been doing hair since 1998 and loves what she does!

As a kid, she often gave her pet dog interesting haircuts... doing hair has ALWAYS been in her blood!

Now working at BaBaLouise, she enjoys being creative, bringing the individuals sense of style into a cut, making people look and feel good.

Factory work have your hair singing the blues? Brandon’s hair dabbling started back in the mid 80’s when he was bass player/hair artist in the ever so popular hair band Skratch (yes with a K).

After graduating in 1996 with a degree in audio/video, he registered at Greenwood Academy of Hair and became an honor roll student. He’s worked mostly with Aveda, American Crew, and was a network educator for Bumble and Bumble which included classes in New York. His barbering skills are inspired by American Crews techniques which he feels are trend setting in short hair.

Brandon is a perfectionist and is not afraid to take the time needed to deliver a stunning cut. He’s genuine and real comfortable to talk with if you can get in a word.

Meegan has been styling hair since 1994, she has trained with TIGI, Sebastian, Aveda, Bumble & Bumble & MOP product lines. After moving from Detroit, Michigan in 1997, she continued her education in extensive cutting and coloring techniques at Gary Manuel’s Phase 3 Salon, as well as worked at Rudy’s Barber Shops.

Meegan’s interest in product design and architecture has her attention to detail working overtime! On her days off you can find her kayaking, trekking and enjoying the great outdoors.

Ava has been doing hair in Seattle for almost 5 years. She believes the foundation of any good hairstyle is good communication between the client and stylist. She specializes in versatile, textured layers and multi-tonal highlights, and believes it is possible to be low-maintenance but still look stylish. She also enjoys experimenting with new techniques and taking classes so she always has new inspiration and something different to offer her clients.

Ava graduated from Gene Juarez Academy in 2004. She has also completed training at Bumble and Bumble Academy in NY, HairPolice Academy in Minneapolis, Paul Mitchell Advanced Training in Los Angeles, and local classes with Schwartzkopf, Italy Color, Farouk/CHI, and L’Oreal Professional. In addition to cut and color services, she offers dreadlock services, extensions, and special occasion styling in the salon or on-site.

Lara graduated from Paul Mitchell Academy in Seattle in 1991, and has been doing hair ever since and lovin’ it. She went through an internship for a year after she graduated, and had the experience of learning from many great instructors. She’s got advanced training and lots of experience in Logics, Aveda, Matrix, American Crew, B & B and many other products, cutting and color classes. Donna Jean gave her first haircut when she was eleven years old. No longer slinging free amateur haircuts from her kitchen, Donna Jean has been a professional hairdresser for over ten years. She began her education at the Gene Juarez Academy of Beauty and graduated in the top percentile. She attended the Bumble and bumble Academy in NYC and was a Network Educator for four years.

Donna Jean has a wide spectrum of experience with cutting, coloring and highlighting all hair types. She loves variety and works well with men, women and kids. She does everything from fancy styling to wash-and-wear hair. She’s also very good with fine, thin hair, as she has this kind of hair herself!

When you feel good, you look good. Believing that a good hairstyle or color is one that feels right to the individual, not just one that looks great on someone else, Cindy enjoys helping people find what works best for them.

Working as a hairstylist since 1993, she is still excited by what she does. Every client is different, so no day is ever boring, and there is always more to learn!!! While it is true that beauty comes from the inside, why not have a little fun with the outside, too?

Chad’s enrolled in beauty school 15 years ago at the tender age of 17 and, after graduating with honors, did another year of apprenticeships and advanced training in hair design at Gene Jaurez Salons. He’s worked at salons around the city, including Gene Jaurez, Salon Ciba, Jean Weik Haircutters, and The Hair Chair (a shop for kids). Most recently, Chad worked at Rudy’s Barber Shops while finishing a creative writing degree at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA (and that ain’t no fiction).

Maxin’; Waxin’; and Relaxin’; since 2003, Mireille has joined BaBaLouise with every intention of making Ballard a smoother place!

Changing the world so it’s more fun to see. Jenny started hair school in 1990 at Erik of Norway in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She grew up in the country thinking about rock-n-roll and which corn field the party was at that weekend. Jenny started doing haircuts in the girls bathroom of her high school. After so many of those, it was time to take things to the next level.

She has done shows and classes with many famous hair artists; Hoarst, inventor of Aveda; David Ricqulio, inventor of Crew; Trevor Sorbie and Yosh. For the past 15 years, she has consistently attended classes with Bumble and Bumble, Mop, Matrix, Paul Mitchell, etal... keeping up on current new looks in razor cuts ,clippers, color, styling and up-do’s.
