Donna Jean gave her first haircut when she was eleven years old. No longer slinging free amateur haircuts from her kitchen, Donna Jean has been a professional hairdresser for over ten years. She began her education at the Gene Juarez Academy of Beauty and graduated in the top percentile. She attended the Bumble and bumble Academy in NYC and was a Network Educator for four years.
Donna Jean has a wide spectrum of experience with cutting, coloring and highlighting all hair types. She loves variety and works well with men, women and kids. She does everything from fancy styling to wash-and-wear hair. She’s also very good with fine, thin hair, as she has this kind of hair herself!

Lara graduated from Paul Mitchell Academy in Seattle in 1991, and has been doing hair ever since and lovin’ it. She went through an internship for a year after she graduated, and had the experience of learning from many great instructors. She’s got advanced training and lots of experience in Logics, Aveda, Matrix, American Crew, B & B and many other products, cutting and color classes. At the age of 13 Lauren received a haircut that forever changed her life, one so bad that she began cutting her own hair. Realizing that she had found her passion, she decided to enter the cosmetology industry through Evergreen Beauty College when she just 17 years old. She has mastered many advanced classes, including Joico color basic and creative applications, YoungBlood mineral makeup and color theory, and advanced up-dos and hair designs, just to name a few. As a licensed professional, she is dedicated to the happiness and satisfaction of each client that takes a seat in her chair and puts their trust in her good hands. You won’t find yourself disappointed!

Anna received her education in Skin and Nail care in Arizona. After braving the heat and learning volumes about how to care for her clients skin and nail care needs, she came back home to Seattle in 2008. She’s happy to be back and excited to offer a multitude of fantastic services. She seeks out fun and different treatments to offer and makes outstanding client care her personal goal. She has a number of certifications for specialty treatments including Chemical Peels, Eyelash extensions and Body Waxing.

Lisette has had a love-hate relationship with her hair since infancy. They say that ‘with great power comes great responsibility’, but perhaps it is more fitting to say that with great hair comes great responsibility. Lisette is famous for many things: her unequivocal and unconditional love for her dog, Chester, her ability to chat endlessly with friends and clients, and notorious for her bouncy and curly locks. As a result of her wayward tresses, Lisette spent much of her childhood toiling with her hair. But teenage toil wasn’t enough for Lisette. After completing her education at Paul Mitchell Academy, Lisette entered the big leagues and has since been trimming, hacking (okay, perhaps not “hacking”), layering, and coloring hair. These days Lisette has accepted her responsibility, and developed a well honed attention for detail. With great hair comes great responsibility, it is true, but luckily Lisette is the superhero stylist of curly hair, musketeer of men’s cuts and master of women’s short cuts.

Dave Blanchard, an honors graduate from the Aveda Institute Minneapolis in 2000. He was invited to follow up with advanced color training at the Van Micheals salons in Atlanta Georgia where he was introduced to platform style coloring. Feeling the need to move west, he earned his third state license by working in various Aveda salons in California and for the next 4 years practiced classical haircuts, transformative color and hair health. Feeling a need to explore his cutting skills, he also attended an intensive advanced hair cutting course at the Toni and Guy Academy in Long Beach, California. In 2006 he found new inspiration working with Kim Lembi – a Sonoma county hair dresser and Bumble and Bumble”s Salon owner who’s styling esthetic and energy forever changed his approach. In San Francisco in 2009 he assisted Tommy Acoin from the Acoin Atelier at a Davines product show and was greatly influenced by his unique techniques.
A past Ballard resident, Dave prefers to work now as an independent at BabaLouise. “Seattle’s culture lends itself to creative expression, freedom and the ability to change style day to day”.

Traci is passionate about hair colors, highlights and hair cutting. She graduated from Gene Juarez Academy of beauty and immediately set forth on her journey to beautify the world one head of hair at a time. Her keen insight into tones and colors comes from a combination of intuition and post graduate education. Her precision hair cutting skills have been honed over the years and she has kept up with the trends so you can leave her chair feeling like you’ve had your prayers answered by the hair cutting gods.
